Artist's Description

The Rand Tower, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a classic example of Art Deco style and ornamentation. At 26 stories it was one of the city's tallest buildings on completion in 1929, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. This wonderful staircase is today rather dimly lit and is usually only seen by office workers on their way down to street level from one of the city's skyways.

About Jim Hughes

Jim Hughes

I'm a photographer in Minneapolis, interested in many things. Sometimes I start with a plan, and sometimes something just catches my eye. I like to come up with my own spin on a subject and create an image with some sort of a twist. And when I know what I want, I'll spend a lot of time getting it. If you're looking for a specific photo and not finding it, just email me at jim-hughes@outlook.com.
