The red-winged blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) is a passerine bird of the family Icteridae. It inhabits wetlands and grassy, open areas, especially where cattails are found. When making their distinctive springtime calls, the males try to look as imposing as possible.

I'm a photographer in Minneapolis, interested in many things. Sometimes I start with a plan, and sometimes something just catches my eye.
