Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This hardy Minnesota squirrel lives in our yard and sometimes, in the winter, seems to wish our relationship could be closer. But don't worry about him, he actually makes a pretty good living from the stray seed that ends up underneath the bird feeders.
