Artist's Description

The flowers of False Indigo, Baptisia Australis, a flowering plant common in the American Midwest. This one is in Minnesota. Other - and less flattering - names for the plant are indigo weed, rattleweed, rattlebush and horsefly weed. Weed or not, it's a beautiful plant.

About Jim Hughes

Jim Hughes

I'm a photographer in Minneapolis, interested in many things. Sometimes I start with a plan, and sometimes something just catches my eye. I like to come up with my own spin on a subject and create an image with some sort of a twist. And when I know what I want, I'll spend a lot of time getting it. If you're looking for a specific photo and not finding it, just email me at jim-hughes@outlook.com.
