When making their characteristic call, they fluff up their feathers and try to look imposing; this one is just about to sound off. This bird likes wetlands and grassy, open areas, especially where cattails are found.
I'm a photographer in Minneapolis, interested in many things. Sometimes I start with a plan, and sometimes something just catches my eye.
