The Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum, on the Minneapolis campus of the University of Minnesota, was designed by Frank Gehry and completed in 1993. Gehry said that when he was asked to design the building, he was told "don't make another brick lump", and he most definitely did not, instead creating a set of outlandish shapes covered with stainless steel. In this photo it's lighting up for just a few moments, as it catches the very last, low angle rays of sun at the end of the day.

I'm a photographer in Minneapolis, interested in many things. Sometimes I start with a plan, and sometimes something just catches my eye. I like to come up with my own spin on a subject and create an image with some sort of a twist. And when I know what I want, I'll spend a lot of time getting it.
